Does ObjectGears run only on MS SQL Server and Windows? If we would like to use linux or some free database, is it possible?

At the moment it has to be MS SQL Server, but we plan to support also other databases. Regarding Windows Microsoft will release .NET Framework also under Linux (maybe already this year).
